the prevalence of protective factors

the number of teachers receiving intensive training in the Facing History and
Ourselves curriculum

Facing History and Ourselves curriculum materials

professional development for teachers using the Facing History and Ourselves
curriculum materials

Youth Risk Behavior data and use it to focus programs and curriculum on
specific areas of need
o Instruct
300 students in the Steps to Respect curriculum

with the Alternative Learning Program to provide work-study experiences for two
students
o Work
with staff and students in special education programs to develop and implement
service learning initiatives to enhance studentsŐ self-esteem
o Strengthen
partnerships among students in the Team-Based Learning Program, teachers, and
parents/guardians
o Strengthen the relationships between the school and the partners listed above
o Add an evening component to Teens Speak Out for adults (parents, law enforcement, school personnel, etc.) to focus on issues teens are currently facing
